Introduction to Interior Design
Course Syllabus/ Description
This course will explore the fundamentals of Interior Design including color theory, industry trends, spatial arrangements, floor plans, client budgets, traditional and modern interior design ideas, and other basics. The goal for this class is for students to become familiarized and prepare themselves to further deepen their knowledge of this important field related to Architecture.

Our Instructors
Instructor: Alex Salazar
Alejandro “Alex” Salazar-Jasbon holds masters degrees in both Architecture and Landscape Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania where he won various prizes and earned several accolades, including receiving an invitation to teach upon graduation. As both a staffer in offices in other firms as well as an independent designer, Alejandro has worked on various residential, commercial, and institutional projects in New York City, California, North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, Spain, and other locations. Since 2007 Alejandro has taught Architectural Design Studios at the University of California Berkeley. He founded and currently leads the Summer Architecture Studio in Spain, has taught design studios at the University of Pennsylvania, and has served as visiting critic to various other universities including Columbia, Parsons, Pratt Institute, City College, CCA, University of South Florida, University of Virginia and the Universidad de Alicante in Spain. Alex has also had the opportunity to work on various Kingdom Hall renovations and Assembly Halls.
